Obstetric and Pediatric Care

It seems there is nothing more joyful, hopeful, and exciting than babies! 

The staff at Cheyenne County Hospital welcome you to our hospital and very much look forward to walking with you through your labor and delivery.  Our goal is to assist you, so you are comfortable, knowledgeable, and prepared for the experience of labor.   

The nursing staff training includes Fetal Heart Monitoring, PESI OB Training, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Neonatal Stabilization and transfer of the sick neonate (S.T.A.B.L.E), and certified in emergency room care of the sick and/or injured child (ENPC).    Cheyenne County Hospital provides services and support to expecting mothers and families through one-on-one teaching opportunities, delivery of newborn, postpartum care and follow up, childbirth education, breastfeeding support services, and 24/7 availability of provider and nursing staff to answer questions and provide reassurance to parents.  

Rapid Response Unit. This ultimately increases the chances of survival after a postpartum hemorrhage.  

Heather Licke, MD and Saba Shrinzada, DO are accepting new patients and prenatal visits can be scheduled with either by calling the clinic at 785-332-2682.

The hospital has Alicia Wyatt, CRNA on staff for obstetrical anesthesia.  CRNAs work alongside members of the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the safest, most effective care.

We work with the Kansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and their mission is “Making Kansas the Best Place to Give Birth, Be Born, and Raise a Family”

Through evidence-based practice and quality improvement processes, the Kansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative is working to improve health outcomes for mothers and babies in Kansas by partnering with hospitals, state agencies, and other organizations. In our partnership they analyze our existing practices and collaborate learning to discuss best practices and share opportunities for quality improvement.
