Mission Statement

Our mission is to deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful laboratory results, while ensuring the highest standards of patient care through our rigorous quality control and quality assurance programs.

Quality Assurance/Accreditation Information

An active quality assurance program is in effect and evaluated daily. Parameters monitored and evaluated are; specimens, reagents, equipment, procedures, control materials, technical competence and documentation. 

We presently participate in the American Proficiency Institute (API) external proficiency review program for Chemistry, Hematology, Diagnostic Immunology, Microscopy, and Bacteriology. Cheyenne County Hospital laboratory participates in the CLIA certification program and is a certified lab.

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. 
Saturday: 7 a.m. - Noon
Sunday: Prearranged draws only.

Direct Access Testing at Hospital Laboratory

Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Requests will be accepted between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Specimens received after 5 p.m. will be held to the following day for testing, if the analysis would extend beyond normal hours and a delay in testing will not effect test results.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Chemistries - complete metabolic panel, basic metabolic panel, lipid panel, thyroid, pregnancy testing, drug therapy monitoring, etc.
  • Hematology - complete blood count, ESR, etc.
  • Blood Bank - blood typing, crossmatching, etc.
  • Microbiology - urine culture, wound culture, blood culture, stool culture and exam, susceptibility testing
  • Urinalysis
  • Specimen Collections

Be in control of your own health Follow these simple steps to get the testing you need.

  1. Stop by Hospital Registration
  2. Select the tests you want. No doctor’s referral or order necessary
  3. A member of our laboratory team will collect the specimen.
  4. Results will be provided to you within a few days.
  5. Cost savings to you when you pay with cash, check or credit card at time of service. This is not submitted to insurance.
  6. Schedule an appointment with your provider, if you wish to review your lab results with them.
